Blackberry Rosemary Bourbon Cocktail
This blackberry rosemary bourbon cocktail will be a perfect way to celebrate Canada Day or the Forth of July with its ruby red color. The recipe listed below will make two drinks, so plan accordingly if you plan to serve this at a backyard bbq.
I might have shared a fall-themed recipe on Monday, but today it’s all about making the most out of your summertime fruit in the form of an alcoholic beverage.
A couple of weeks ago, I put out a poll on Instagram asking what kind of recipes you wanted to see this summer and it was a toss-up between a summer cocktail and more Traeger recipes. So today, I have the first of two summer cocktails that use seasonal fruit (blackberries and cherries) and accompanying simple syrups that are oh-so delicious and easily adaptable.
I don't know about you, but during the hot summer months I tend to gravitate more towards cocktails rather than wine (except a spicy rose or a dry white wine that’s ice cold.) Today’s blackberry bourbon cocktail hits the spot on a hot summer day, and goes down rather smoothly (and quickly, so beware.)
Drinks like these are so simple to make because they require no special tools or equipment. I did however use a fine mesh sieve to catch the lemon seeds when I juiced the lemons, but feel free to live on the wild side and go without.
